The most important thing to wear is your smile! Super cheesy, I know. But what I mean is that it’s important to wear something you feel great in, so that you’re more comfortable and relaxed while we’re shooting. I personally love colorful outfits, but if neutrals are more your speed, go for it! Your outfit may also depend on WHERE we’re shooting. Feel free to ask me this question leading up to your shoot- and always feel free to send me outfit ideas!

A mini session is an abbreviated shoot on a styled outdoor set, offered at a steep discount, and you walk away with anywhere from 5-25 edited photos! It’s a great option for those looking for nice portraits for less money than a full hour-long shoot costs. Common themes include fall, Christmas/holiday, Valentine’s, Summer, and back to school! I will always announce when minis are being offered on my instagram, so make sure you’re following along!

While during a full shoot we walk around to a few different spots and try out as many poses as we dream up, a mini session offers one static location, decorated for the theme, for you (and/or your significant other/your family/whoever) to sit or stand at, with more limited pose options. Many people love mini sessions to get a couple really nice shots they can use for Christmas cards, or just to have an updated family portrait.

At this time I offer a first responder discount only, and you must let me know at the time of booking if you are trying to get that discount. Occasionally I will do sales or giveaways for discounted (or even free) shoots! You’ll also want to keep an eye out for seasonal Mini Sessions! We’ll shoot for an hour, and during that time I will get shots of the whole family, as well as individual shots of each kid, and shots of just the parents as well. Everyone gets to have their special moment with the focus on them, and plenty of pictures of the family as a whole! Do you have a shy little one? That’s okay! I’m great with kids and can usually get them to open up and embrace the photo fun! Oh, and just so you know, I believe children deserve the right to privacy, so I’ll always blur their faces if I use their photo on my website or instagram.

I am naturally outgoing and upbeat. I’ll bring energy and positivity to the shoot that will help you relax and have fun. For portraits, I’ll come with pose ideas for you, but you’re always welcome to bring your own ideas too! Sometimes it’s easier for me to be hands-on to pose you, but I’ll always ask beforehand if it’s okay if I touch you. At events, you can expect me to do my best to blend in and capture the important moments and candid emotions. No matter the shoot, you can count on me to be hyping you up, and making sure you know how stunning your photos are turning out (usually I just can’t help myself and I’ll show you a couple pictures as I shoot them)!

I love kids. I’m a mom myself and have 10 nieces and nephews that I adore! I know that kids don’t always like being told to just stand still and smile, so I take extra time to be playful and let them call some of the shots (literally!). This results in them having a blast, and you getting some ADORABLE pictures, plus a fun family memory!

Yes, I require a 50% non-refundable deposit at the time of booking. If something happens and you can’t make your shoot date, I’m very happy to reschedule! If you must flat-out cancel, you do not receive your deposit back.
